School-Based Health now in Columbia

Students and staff in the Columbia Borough School District now have a medical home right where they teach, support, and learn, making healthcare convenient and easy to access for the entire school community.

We’re excited to announce that we’ve opened two school-based health centers in the Columbia Borough School District at Columbia High/Middle School Hill Campus and Columbia Park Elementary School.

Having on-the-spot access to healthcare within school spaces helps students thrive academically, along with healthy teachers and staff. This means less time away from the classroom, more time focusing on learning, and peace of mind for parents.

Here are a few frequently asked questions about the new school spaces:

What school-based health services are available?

We provide same-day visits for illnesses and injuries, Well Child Checks, physicals, screenings, medication management, chronic disease management, vaccines, women’s health and reproductive healthcare, and more.

Who can be seen at the CBSD locations?

Columbia Borough School District students and staff can be seen at either of our CBSD locations! We have a Care Team available at both schools.

How do I enroll my child in school-based health at one of the CBSD locations?

Parents can call 717-299-6371 (press 2 for Medical Care, then Press 7 for school-based health centers), or talk with school staff at the Columbia High School / Middle School Hill Campus location and Columbia Park Elementary School location. Parents will need to complete a school-based health consent form for their child to be seen for care.

How can I make an appointment?

Walk-in appointments are available for Columbia Borough School District students and staff. Students can walk in if their parents have signed a school-based consent form.

If you prefer to make an appointment, please call 717-299-6371 to make an appointment. Press 2 for Medical Care, then Press 7 for school-based health centers.
